Got a few questions? No problem view our list of Frequently asked questions here.
The questions are in no particular order and have all been asked by previous guests so please scroll down and hopefully you will find the information you are looking for. Please bear in mind a lot of the questions will relate to staying at the glampsite.
What facilities are available at the summer campsite?
We supply toilets, showers, refuse bins and mains water for drinking, you will need to bring whatever else you need when you pitch your own tent.
Do we need to bring linen for the glampsite accommodation?
No we provide all linen.
Do we need to bring towels?
No we provide all towels for the Glampsite accommodation.
When we stay at the glampsite do we need to bring plates, cups, cooking equipment etc.?
No, we supply all your crockery etc. and cooking equipment.
Do we need to bring wellingtons?
You will be staying in a field so if it rains the grass will be wet! They are also a good idea even in the summer, morning dew can also make the grass very wet first thing.
What clothes to bring?
What ever is suitable for the time of year.
Can we BBQ?
The pods have electric BBQ’s. At the Summer Campsite you will need to bring your own BBQ’s, these must be well off the ground and maybe restricted if there is a high fire risk due to dry weather conditions.
How many cars can we come in?
We allow a maximum of 2 cars per accommodation at the glampsite and for the summer camping it is 2 cars per pitch, you must talk to us first if you want to come in more cars than this as our parking is limited.
Can we bring our own wood?
Not for the Glampsite but you can bring your own wood for the campfires at the Summer Campsite so long as it makes no unpleasant smoke.
How much do you charge for wood?
A box of Eco logs is £8 (This is subject to change). If you are staying at the glampsite you will receive, when you arrive, a complimentary box of Eco logs for the camp fire.
Is there outside seating and tables?
Yes we supply outside furniture for each accommodation at the glampsite but not at the Summer Campsite.
Can we squeeze more people into any of the accommodations?
Simple answer is no, we don’t mind a travel cot but we won’t allow more than the maximum number of guests stated for each accommodation. Packing you in like sardines is hardly a glamping experience!
Is there mains electricity at the Glampsite and Summer Campsite?
There is mains electricity in our accommodation at the Glampsite. There isn’t any mains electricity at the Summer Campsite. All power at the Summer Campsite is 12 volt solar.
We had a lovely stay in the Wren pod. It has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Very picturesque surroundings and so lovely to spend a few days here. The hot tub is perfect for 2 people. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for this kind of holiday. Jonathan was extremely helpful in the build up with local recommendations and clear instructions for arriving / checking in, very quick to reply which is great.

We had a lovely stay here. It was the perfect relaxing weekend escape from busy London we needed. Super tranquil, the hot tub overlooking that beautiful view was amazing. The pod was super cosy and clean, very modern with all the essentials you need. The kitchen was full of all the bits you need, so we ended up making most of our meals there rather than going out. Highly recommend!

Our stay in Swallow Pod was perfect and allowed us to completely switch off from the outside world and relax. The pod was situated in a beautiful and virtually silent location, very tastefully executed and with everything you could possibly need. The pod and outside area was spotlessly clean and excellently cared for. Jonathan was a very professional, yet warm, host and communication / information sharing was excellent. A 6 minute drive into Tenterden town for lovely restaurants, cafes and shops. We would love to return!

Swallow pod is a great getaway from the city! Even though we don’t have a car to get around, it is still accessible by walking and taking the public transport. Jonathan is very helpful to us in navigating our way around the area. The hot tub is the highlight of our trip as we relaxed ourselves after our stroll to the nearby village of Rolvenden and Tenterden. All in all, it is such a nice experience that I would definitely recommend to everyone to try.

Everything was absolutely amazing. This is our second time here and will definitely be returning. Love how nice, quiet and secluded it feels. Love the cows in the morning as they seem very friendly! The hot tub is exactly what was needed for a nice relaxing stay. Clear and easy directions to get there. Nice little staycation. Thanks to Jonathan for being a nice host.

This place is fabulous for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle. The place was spotless and the hot tub is just the perfect addition to this quaint pod stay. The cows and sheep are just a stones throw away and you can watch the stars at night in the tub with the campfire burning. The pod has everything you need and Jonathan was a perfect host. We would definitely like to return.
